'DINER - RT.70 - 10718 1120pm' by Ronald Waite

Ronald Waite's photographs are in many ways an exploration of patterns within the ordinary. Images that point to an intrinsic narrative that is takes place all around us, pulling us into stories mid-stream. It's here that we find an air of recognition, that tug of the familiar, a story heard then forgotten with only some fragments and broken phrases left. Waite, whose beginnings were as a painter and installation artist, has always used photography as a sort of sketchbook; however, in recent years the photographs have taken a central role in his work. Waite studied fine art at SVA in New York and lives and works in the East Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia.
