'Evening Reflections' by Christianne Ebel

Christianne Ebel is a freelance photographer from a multicultural, multi-generational household on the East coast of the United States of America. As she grew up, she was surrounded by stories from all corners of the world. These stories became part of her and caused her to seek out how people, places, things, events, cultures, and silent moments, come together to make a narrative. Her first move out of the USA was to Chile, where she had a simple point-and-shoot camera, time, space, and the world to discover. That is when she became a storyteller - a photographer. For the past twenty years she has traveled the world always with a camera in hand. She turned to photojournalism seventeen years ago, freelancing for various newspapers and organizations, such as The Courier News and The Hunterdon County Democrat. Christianne has received honorable mentions by the International Photography Awards and is the American recipient of the American Scandinavian Society's 2009 Cultural Grant. Most recently her work, 'David's Story', was featured in Crime Magazine and her body of work, 'Sverige: a photographic monologue', was exhibited at the Rydals Museum in Sweden. Christianne is constantly making images, even if some of them are still stored within her.
