“Like a lot of photographers, I'm drawn to everything abandoned,” the artist writes. “This is another image from an ongoing series of abandoned houses. I look for opportunities to show the house with as much of the surrounding landscape as desired. The space around the building reveals a lot about the structure itself. It adds to the feeling of loneliness and loss that I'm trying to convey. I feel incredibly lucky to have found this beautiful old house when the clouds were this spectacular. At the time I found this scene, I was on a road trip with a friend looking for exactly this kind of subject.”
