Navid Baraty is a Seattle-based photographer who left a career in engineering to pursue his passion. His work evokes human stories in a sometimes raw and almost poetic way and captures the awe and wonder that fuels our uniquely human curiosity. In December 2017, Baraty captured a series of dreamy images in the snowy streets of New York City.
Baraty’s work has been used in several large-scale installations, including a year-long exhibition in the New York City subway. He was commissioned by Apple for a collaborative artistic project in Chongqing, China. His work has won numerous awards and has appeared in publications and exhibitions worldwide. Navid's work has been featured by National Geographic, NPR, NASA, The Guardian, CNN, WIRED Magazine, Lonely Planet, Popular Photography, ABC News, and many other media outlets.
