“One evening, I looked outside my window and saw thousands of crows had landed in my front yard,” the artist writes. “I knew I could spook them, just as they had spooked me. To get this shot, I laid on the ground and photographed many of them as they flew in different directions. Carefully constructing a narrative that portrays relatable aspects of humanity is central in my work. Whether it is portraying imperfection, vulnerability, rejection, or childhood nostalgia, my objective is to relate to my viewers while living in a society that continuously changes and evolves."
